When the weather plays along, the terrace opens up to the mountains, and there’s no better place to sit and relax. Fýri is located in Hemsedal, just under three hours by car from Oslo and approximately four hours from Bergen. There are both trains and buses from Oslo to Gol, which is just a 25-minute drive from Fýri. There is also a direct bus service from Oslo to Hemsedal, with a stop in Gol.
Yes. Fýri is a lovely setting for a julebord, with a traditional Christmas dinner, warm surroundings, and the option to combine it with live music or a Christmas concert. Get in touch to find a date for your group.
Yes. Our full conference package combines a day of meetings with dinner and an overnight stay, tailored to your group. It includes hotel rooms, breakfast, lunch and dinner at Restaurant Liv, modern meeting rooms, and a conference host on hand throughout. You can add extras like Pool Club access, padel, wine tasting, guided tours, and more.
Yes, there is parking right outside by the hotel. We also offer heated parking in our underground garage for NOK 250 per 24 hours, starting from 12:00 on your day of arrival.

Yes. From skiing and snow racers to dog sledding in winter, and hiking, biking and padel in summer, we offer a wide range of activities for groups. Your dedicated coordinator will help you find the activities that best suit your group, taking into account your preferences and experience level.
Conference groups dine at Restaurant Liv, with beautiful mountain views. We can also arrange private dinners in one of our suitable event spaces, offering a more exclusive and private dining experience.
Yes, there are ski lockers by the lift. We also have a dedicated ski locker room in our Sports Club at Rambler, where you can safely store your equipment. You can use your room key to access your own private ski locker, which is included with your stay. One ski locker is provided per room.
Your dog is more than welcome at Fýri! We have a selection of dog-friendly hotel rooms where you can stay with your dog. An additional fee of NOK 400 per night applies.

Yes, we have a dedicated children’s area in the ski resort. The lift from Fýri takes you directly to the children’s area, making it easy and convenient for families with children. The area offers a range of family-friendly activities and dining options, making it a great choice for a fun day on the slopes.
Yes. The Pool Club is open year-round, with 35°C water and a heated outdoor pool, ideal after a day on the slopes.
Plenty: ski touring, dog sledding, sleigh rides, sledding, snowmobiling, ice skating, and indoor climbing.
Snow can arrive as early as November in Hemsedal, but the ski resort usually opens in early December. The exact opening date depends largely on natural snowfall and temperatures. We have a long ski season, with the resort usually closing in early May. Even after it closes, there are still plenty of opportunities for ski touring and backcountry skiing in the surrounding mountains.
Cross-country skiing can also be available early in the season. Gravset Ski Stadium, just 15 minutes from Fýri, has snowmaking facilities, so you can get out on the trails early even when natural snow is limited. There are also cross-country trails starting right from Fýri, making it easy to head into the mountains straight from the hotel.
Yes to both. You can rent skis on site, alpine or cross-country, and we’ll sort your lift pass and anything else you need for the day.
Yes. Let us know about any allergies when you book and we’ll make sure the kitchen is prepared.
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in Restaurant Liv. However, dogs are welcome in the other dining areas at the hotel.
Yes, walk-ins are welcome when there’s space, though booking ahead is the safest way to get a table.
Restaurant Liv is our main restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with a Mediterranean lean and mountain views. ROA is the lobby bar, relaxed, with games and sushi in season. Rambler brings an alpine feel just across the street, with pinsa and salads in summer and fondue by the fire in winter.
Absolutely. You don’t need to stay the night to eat with us, our restaurants are open to everyone. Just book a table.
Yes. For groups of up to 8, just book as usual online. For larger groups, email us at restaurant@fyriresort.com and we’ll help arrange it.
Yes. Our kitchens cater to vegetarian and vegan diets, and we’re happy to accommodate gluten-free needs. Just let us know when you book.
It depends on which pass you book. Sessions run from two to several hours, from a two-hour Family Morning to a longer evening at the Pool Party. You’ll see the exact times for each pass when you book.
Your Pool Club time is set when you book and shown in your package details. Need to change it? Get in touch and we’ll do our best to help.
Yes, in the mornings especially. Children from 4 years are welcome 10:00–12:00, and from 10 years between 13:00 and 19:15. From 19:30 the Pool Club is for guests 16 and over.
Ages vary by time of day: children from 4 years in the morning (10:00–12:00), children from 10 years midday to early evening (13:00–19:15), and guests from 16 years in the evening (19:30–00:00). Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Five meeting rooms, with space for up to 350 guests, so we can host groups of any size.
Yes. Fýri is located right by the slopes, with our own ski lift taking you directly from the hotel to the ski area. We also have the Centrum Run, which usually opens later in the season and allows you to ski directly from the ski area back to Fýri.
