Summer & Fall in Hemsedal

Hemsedal is an all-year-round destination. In summer there’s fishing, cycling, mountain tours and hiking. In fall there’s just as many options, such as experiencing Hydnefossen west of Hemsedal, a 155 meter high waterfall, or climbing the beautiful Skogshorn. Erase all your prejudgments about what being an adult entails and play away at the climbing park Høyt & Lavt. The climbing park is in the village center and there’s also a climbing wall with four different routes, a climbing castle and zipline over the river. Wiiiee!

Via Ferrata

Anyone looking for a bit of action should try Via Ferrata! A climbing track where you’re attached and secured to a cable. A real fun way of climbing for all levels. The tour takes approximately 3 hours.

Experience horseback riding at Lykkja and the beautiful surroundings at Skogshorn. A half day trip you’ll remember for a long time!
Snorkling
Experience a snorkeling adventure
Join in on a snorkeling adventure in the river where you get the chance to meet trouts in their natural habitat. We’ll sort out all the details such as your wetsuit, life vest, snorkeling mask and snorkel.
Mountain Cart
Go down the hill full speed
Mountain Cart is a real adrenaline kick, where you take a lift up the hill and go down on a three wheeled bike in full speed. We’ll sort out the helmet and bike but you’ll have to do the steering.

You’ll never have to worry about the group being bored! We offer a range of activities where you are divided into teams and together solve tasks. The activities can be anything from a pentathlon in the climbing park to creative tasks or a quiz (time estimation 1,5-2 hours). A good way to start a fun conversation during dinner!
Winter & Spring in Hemsedal
ski beyond your limits
Because of Hemsedal’s northern location, the skiing season is long and there’s usually still snow during spring. Fýri Resort is conveniently located in the slope with ski-in/ski-out, so that you don’t have to walk with skiis on. Because the most important thing is getting as much ski time as possible! A popular activity is ski touring, the feeling when you’ve reached the top and the enjoy panorama view is indescribable.
Sledding
Experience action after the lifts close
Start from the top and ride down the lit up hill on a sled after the lifts are closed. A fun activity that will make you feel like a kid again! Approximate time: 1 hour, minimum ten persons.
Offpist / Toppturer
Off-piste / Ski touring
A guided off-piste skiing tour is a real adventure! Your guide will teach you everything you need to know. The combination of mountain climbing and sliding down fresh snow is a real experience.
Dog sledding
Go sledding with dogs
Drive your own dog sled with a bunch of happy Siberian huskies or sit back and enjoy the ride. Each sled fits two persons and you get all the information you need beforehand, so you don’t need any previous experience. We’ll adjust the tour according to your needs and the dog sledding can also be combined with having a bon fire with food and games.
Snowshoe tour
Enjoy the landscape on a snowshoe tour
A snowshoe tour is one of the best ways to experience the beautiful winter landscape. An amazing group activity that will give you lots of energy! The tour takes about 3-5 hours and can be combined with a meal.
Sleighing tour
Jingle all the way on a sleighing tour
Go on a sleighing ride in Lykkja with the beautiful Skogshorn and Tisleifjorden as the backdrop. A different experience in a snowcovered winter landscape with torches and bells. The tour takes about 30 minutes and is followed by a cup of hot mulled wine by the fireplace.
